Prices and dates for flights on the internet: vliegwinkel.nl, vliegreizen.nl or vliegtickets.nl and others.

** Air France offers the possibility to arrive at one of the French islands (Martinique, Guadeloupe, St. Maarten) and to depart from one of the others on a return flight at no extra cost.

*** The definitive programme depends upon the wishes of our guests and on weather conditions as well as on what the different islands have to offer.

Special prices

Yes! The "early bird" will get 10% off if booked at least 6 months before departure. Also inquire after our special prices for groups, students and NFN-members (Dutch Naturist Society)

Naturist Yes /No?

You have the choice: "clothing optional" (N=naturist) where a bit of textile is acceptable, or "T=textile" where the preference is bathing trunks/suit. For a closed group it is the choice of the group whether it is going to be a naturist holiday or a so called textile one.

Photographs

Any digital photographs (both above and under water) can be copied to your memory stick(s) (free) or CD/DVD for a reasonable price.

What will you bring?

  • valid passport (sometimes needs to be valid for some time after returning home)
  • travel insurance
  • bring your luggage in a weekend bag (and not in a suitcase please!) as available closet space is limited.
  • your favorite CD's (in the saloon there is excellent quality sound equipment)
  • in the saloon we have a library with reference books and novels etc. , mostly in English
  • should you wish to bring equipment for Scuba diving, please ask us first
  • cap etc to cover your head
  • sun protection is absolutely necessary
  • although on board we are not often bothered by mosquitoes, you risk being "attacked" by "no-see-ums" on the beach: tiny but ferocious! Bring something or buy it here, with lots of DEET
  • for anti-seasickness pills go to a drugstore or pharmacy. Our best experience is with Stugeron 15 (Cinnarizine), but a much lighter homeopathic pill like Travelin works well enough.
  • of course bring towels and a beach towel
  • shoes: no hard soles on board, no street shoes inside. Bring sturdy shoes or sports shoes for hiking
  • rain gear or boots are not necessary
  • light/thin clothes are best, evenings are warm

Vaccinations, preventive use of medicines

Should you consider exploring the Venezuelan mainland furhter inland, it is best to inquire with your general practisioner or your local Health Institue as to which vaccinations you need. Do this well ahead of your trip! (for instance for DTP, yellow fever, hepatitis, malaria, tbc, rabies). For the coastal areas of Venezuela no vaccinations are necessary. Good sites among others: www.cdc.gov (in English) www.ggd.nl, www.lcr.nl

Barlist

Coffee and tea can always be made, and are taken as a group, we also take all meals together. Laying the table, clearing and doing the dishes belong to the guests' activities. You may be asked to do a little cleaning or sweeping. Most guests are more talented than they might think! Joke welcomes any help in the kitchen.

In the bar there are many alcoholic drinks and we like to make cocktails and smoothies with rum, coconut, pineapple; ice is always in the freezer. A pricelist is posted. During sailing/motoring there will be no (or occasionally very little) drinking of alcohol. After anchoring the bar will open.

Safety and Security

In all cabins you will find a smoke detector and a CO-alarm. Also each cabin/room has a fire extinguisher. Each cabin has an emergency exit (hatch). On board there is no propane/butane gas. Inside there will be absolutely no smoking; outside only where and if others will not mind. There are two First Aid containers and there is a medical doctor on board. For outside there is a modern self-inflating rescue vest for every person. This you will wear whenever it makes you feel more comfortable, and when the skipper wants you to (e.g. in the dark, and in rougher seas). There are 2 life rafts (for 16 people). Zeevonk however can't sink...

Welcome on board!
